Cantilever mounting loads are mounted on the shaft flange and supported by only one section of the shaft. Cantilever mounting is not recommended for high-altitude platforms or is strictly safety related.

The upper part of the support is bolted on the shaft flange, and the lower part is fixed by a connecting rod through the center hole of the middle shaft.
